Wager Responsibly:

When wagering on horses, or any sport, it is important to keep in mind several things.

  • Ensure that you do not place a wager while intoxicated

  • Betting should not interfere with your daily responsibilities

  • You never attempt to recoup previous losses.

  • Only gamble with money that you can afford to lose.

  • Always establish limits for how much you are willing to spend and never go beyond those limits.

  • Make sure that the decision to gamble is your own choice.

  • If you start obsessing with betting then it may be time to take a break.

If you find that you are breaking any of the above protocols, or that you simply can't resist the urge than you should seek assistance. You are not the first person to have problems with gambling and you certainly will not be the last. But it is nothing to be ashamed of.

To seek help contact the following:

Remember gambling should be a form of entertainment, if it is causing you grief you should not do it.
